By reusing the stock cats you don’t have to worry about violating emissions regulations.
Quality Construction. Flowmaster’s Scavenger Series Elite shorty headers are made to last using free flowing mandrel-bent 1-5/8″ 409 stainless steel tubing, 3/8″ thick laser-cut one piece flanges and factory style collector connections that ensure a direct leak free fit.

These Headers are completed in Flowmaster’s Silver Ceramic Coating that not only looks great, but reduces under hood temperatures to help increase horsepower and extend the life of the headers. No Tune Required. These Flowmaster Headers are designed to improve the performance of your 5.4L V8 powered F-150 without the need of reprogramming your Truck’s computer. By utilizing a free flowing design, these Scavenger Series Elite Headers will increase power using the factory tune. Even though a re-tune is not required for operation, AmericanTrucks recommends a custom tune to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) to get the best possible performance from these headers.
CARB Certified. Best of all, these Flowmaster Scavenger Series Elite Shorty Headers are 50-state smog legal under Carb EO# D-698. This means they are legal for use on pollution controlled motor vehicles.
