It does a great job of collecting any pieces that are floating around.

During one of my oil the magnetic drain plug caught a large piece of metal that came off of my valvetrain.

Product works as expected throughout the summer but I’ve had two seasons now where the oil catch can has froze and sent oil through my engine and into my exhaust in result losing power and smoke pouring out of exhaust. Had to make the bolt slot bigger on the bracket underneath for the strut bolt to fit. Installation was a breeze. I installed it on a 6.2L V8, and everything aligned flawlessly.
